WHY DOES GOD TEST US PART 2?

Suffering Teaches Obedience: Though he was a Son, yet taught him obedience by the things which he suffered. Heb. 5: 8 whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scoureth every son whom he receiveth, if ye be without chastisement, then are ye bastards, and not sons Heb. 12: 6, 8 1 Peter 4: 1, 2, 15, 19.
I’ve often wished there would be a way to gain without pain; a way to learn without suffering and chastisement, but there isn’t. We would prefer to enjoy an effective life without the suffering which makes it possible. If God used painful test to perfect Jesus, how much more will He use test in our lives. Let us be joyfully embracing the Lord’s discipline, for by this we know we are sons and not bastards Deut. 23: 2.
Test Produce Perseverance and Maturity: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face tests of many kinds because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature not lacking any thing James 1: 2 – 4. Many Christians seem to become “escape artists” when Obedience to God’s will requires suffering or tests. James teaches us that rather than try to escape the fiery ordeals that come, we should joyfully embrace them. We have to notice this, “Perseverance must finish its work so you may be mature.” This means we can not speed up the process. Fiery ordeals do not produce instant results. When a fiery trial comes we must not only embrace it, we must endure and persevere in it.
Trouble tests our Faith in God’s Word: Every word of God is purified Prov. 30: 5. “The words of the Lord are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times Psalm 12: 6 compare these verses with psalm 105: 19 until the time that his (Joseph) word came, the word of the Lord tried him.”
Joseph spent some years in an Egyptian prison for refusing potipher’s wife the adulterous relationship she sought. She falsely accused him of trying to rape her. For this, Joseph spent many years testing for righteousness’ sake.
What you are facing in your relationship with your boss or any one else you may see it as if God forsakes you, but mind you He always be on your side, God allows, it just to know your standard in Him and to test your faith as He allowed it to happened in the life of Joseph for the greater things to come in his life which eventually came to fulfillment. Have faith in Him you will overcome your present situation don’t be weary He is at your side. That is why a song writer says, ‘Have faith in the Lord have faith in Jesus He is able and willing to set you free’. Don’t because of your situation turn to the world or turn away from God, He allowed it in order to test your faith in His word that is why you need to have word of God in your Heart, and abide in it so that the will of God may come to fulfillment in our life.
If you call yourself Christian there is no way you may live your life without experiencing test in life. If you find yourself in it now don’t be afraid you will overcome it, because God is with you, just have faith in Him and don’t allow your test to take away word of God from your heart, because word of God is the master key to overcome test in life. And if you are a Christian and you do not experience it before, be expecting it. There is no way you can grow in the Lord without experiencing test.
God had promised to make Joseph a ruler, what do you think the years in prison would do to a Christian who had a promise like that? So the word of the Lord to him could be tested like silver, tried in a furnace purified seven times psalm 12: 6. Every great Christian endured a fiery test as a result of hearing instructions from God. The process of trying to implement what God said became very costly for them.
In the fires of affliction some will fail and others will pass the test and be promoted. Those who pass the test are chosen to hear those comforting words. You’ve been faithful over little; I’ll make you ruler over much. This is the promise of God for us if we can endure and we overcome tests in our ways, God knows every thing He would not allow us to fall into the pit of test or suffering. He knows when we are been tested and He is alive to make us overcome it. Don’t be weary stand and wait for the fulfillment of His promise. Remember as Jesus Christ our Saviour overcame His temptation in life, we as a Christians of today we would overcome it too, but we have to wait and proof our maturity in Him.
Thank you and remain bless in Jesus name.
